Valmiera FC is happy to announce that Jurgis Kalns has been appointed the new head coach of the club for 2022. season. 39-year-old specialist previously worked as an assistant but now is ready to take the next step and assume leadership duties of the team.
Valmiera FC head coach Jurgis Kalns: ‘’Willingness to win won’t be the key to victories because everyone has it, instead, willingness to prepare for the wins will be important. We know our player qualities but still, they will have to prove them once again. We have to repeat our past achievements which won’t be easy. We are ready for it. The most important thing is to create a good team. I like when the players think about themselves but also place the club at the same level. The task at hand doesn’t change – we will continue to work with young players in order to prepare them for the next level of football. This will be our direction throughout the season.’’
Gatis Kalnins will also continue working with the club as the team’s second coach.
