During the international break, the Valmiera FC team played an exhibition match against SK Super Nova. At the Valmiera Olympic Center in windy conditions, the host side managed to land a 4:2 victory.
In the first half, both sides looked for the best way to play in the stormy weather. Not a whole lot of battles in the air but for the most part ball was played on the ground. Both teams also exchanged scoring chances. First up was Super Nova captain Vugars Askerovs who made it 0:1 for the guests. Not long after Daisuke Yokota leveled the game.
In the second half Valmiera dominated on the pitch which resulted in three goals. First Alioune Ndoye scored two but the fourth goal belong to Diop Meissa. As the end of the game approached visitors got one goal back which led to the final outcome of the match – 4:2.
