Following an Optibet Virsliga ninth-round victory against FK Liepaja (3:0) teams head coach Jurgis Kalns shared his thoughts with the media.
Valmiera FC head coach Jurgis Kalns: ”Thank you to the fans and thank you to the players. Today we won 3:0 against Liepaja but it could have been more. We started off heavy in the first twenty minutes and looked a little scared. The pitch was rather slow. We changed things around a little bit in the second half and did some corrections in pressing and our exit. Everything went according to plan and because of that, we could have scored, not three but four, five, and even six goals. We celebrated in the dressing room but that is now done. In a few days, we have a very important game. The most important thing right now is recovery which we will focus on for the next two days because games like these don’t come without micro-injuries and bruises. We are happy about three points but it is just the beginning.”
