While the team is preparing for the upcoming Optibet Virsliga season Valmiera FC has announced their second addition to their squad – the 22-year-old Venezuelan goalkeeper Carlos Olses has joined the ranks of the team.
Carlos Olses is a Venezuelan international who has represented both U-19 and U-20 youth teams. During his professional career, he represented ”Deportivo La Guaira” while managing to play 47 games for the club.
Carlos Olses: ‘’I’m very happy to be here. New teammates, and a new city, although I haven’t been to Valmiera yet. I think that we have a young team that can play intense football. I’m looking forward to the start of the season. By coming here to Europe I hope that I can continue learning and developing. Of course, I have to do everything I can to help the team and the club. Hopefully, we have a great season in Virsliga, the Latvian cup, and the European competitions.’’
