As the new Tonybet Virsliga season is approaching rapidly, Valmiera FC has continued the preparations for the championship fight and announced the fifth addition to the squad.
20-year-old midfielder Črt Rotar from Slovenia has become the team’s newest member. Rotar joins Valmiera FC from ND Ilirija 1911 club that is based in Ljubljana, Slovenia and plays in the Slovenian second tier. Črt has demonstrated his abilities in NextGen Liga, Slovenian Cup, and Druga Liga generating a total of 1171 minutes on the pitch whilst scoring a goal. The youngster has also been representing his country at an international level appearing in six games for Slovenian U16 squad and adding two more appearances with U19’s.
Črt Rotar: ”I have a really good feeling about everything here. I can tell that the work ethic here is at a high level, everyone loves to work and I like it for myself as well. We have the best gym and a really good pitch which makes me excited to work hard. I see that there are a lot of good personalities here, the guys are really honest and friendly, we have a really good captain and I’m very happy about that as well. I have played a pressing style before and I like it because it is more offensive, I think I am the kind of player who can play that sort of football and I’m glad that it is the way that the team is trying to play. Hopefully, we will get as good of results as we want to. Every year we are aiming for the first place and we will see where this goes. We have a really good team.”
Welcome to Valmiera, Črt!
