In total, 11 Valmiera FC players will go to help their national teams during the next national team window.
Six of our players have been called up for the UEFA Nations League decisive matches for the Latvian national team, against Moldova (22.09) and Andorra (25.09) – Alvis Jaunzems, Raimonds Krollis, Daniels Balodis, Rihards Matrevics, Emīls Birka, and Maksims Tonisevs. For Tonisevs – this is his maiden call-up to the senior national team.
Kristers Penkevics, Olgerds Rascevskis, Lukass Vapne, and Kristians Kauselis, who plays on loan in Tukums, will help the Latvian U-21 national team. The U-21 boys will go to Suwalki, where their team will compete against their Polish peers.
The U-21 national team of Ukraine has two very responsible games ahead of them in the fight for entry into the Euro 2023 – both must be played against Slovakia (23.09 and 27.09). Once again the Ukrainian colors will be represented by Ivan Zhelizko.
Derrick Kakooza has been included in the Uganda national teams roster before the upcoming friendly matches in Benghazi, Libya on 21.09 against Libya and 24.09 against Tanzania.
