22-year-old French forward Jason Bahamboula has become the second addition to the ranks of Valmiera FC for the upcoming 2024 Optibet Virsliga season.
Jason was born on June 15th, 2001 in Caen, France. The 1,78-meter-tall player began playing in the French fifth division with Caen II, where he collected 25 matches before moving to Portuguese Vitoria Guimaraes. Two years later the player improved to Liga 3 where he has spent most of his career. He had 49 appearances and five goals in his total at the level whilst adding 2908 minutes on the pitch. In 2023 the Caen-born debuted in Primeira Liga managing to make an appearance in one game, getting involved from the bench in a 0:1 loss against Casa Pia.
Jason Bahamboula: ”It is very pleasant here in Valmiera. People are very nice, and welcoming. The city is also great, not too big but there is a lot to see. This is a great place for me to continue my career. The weather here is different than I’ve ever experienced, but I’m slowly getting used to it. I like everything here, I can’t wait to go out on the pitch and play football. You can immediately feel that the team is used to working hard and I also have the same goal – to work, to prove myself. The coach, staff, and players are motivated, and ready to do everything to fight for victories. This will be a great opportunity for me to prove myself.”
Welcome to Valmiera, Jason!
