Valmiera FC head coach Jurgis Kalns: ‘’Thank you to Tukums, after their last game we knew that it won’t be easy. Maybe many people were confused about the outcome of their last match and so were we. I knew that we had to be 100% ready that they will come at us like beasts – they will battle for the ball because in their previous game against RFS their self-esteem was touched. Such an opponent is very inconvenient to play against. But overall I’m happy with the three points which were the most important thing today. We managed to get through without unnecessary cards or injuries and I hope that everything will be alright with Emils Birka. Moments like the one in the 44th minute of the match where Camilo Mena hit the post, Raimonds Krollis opportunity was blocked by a defender who had taken a position in the net and then Masaki Murata blasted the ball over the net – it’s probably what describes our realization of the moments we have and the unlucky moments.
