As the national team window is now approaching which will last from March 21st until March 29th ten of our players have been called up to different levels of Latvian national teams.
Repeated calls to the Latvian Men’s National team led by Dainis Kazakevics have earned our Rihards Matrevics, Alvis Jaunzems, and Raimonds Krollis. Daniels Balodis and Emils Birka however, have gotten themselves a maiden call-up to the main squad of Team Latvia.
Roberts Veips, Maksims Tonisevs, Niks Dusalijevs, and Kristers Lusins all have been called up to the Latvian U21 national squad. For these guys, some very important games are ahead – European Championship qualifying matches against Germany and San Marino. The games will be played on the 25th and 29th of March respectively.
Klavs Lauva will join the U19 squad which will travel to Medulin, Croatia where two exhibition games will be played against their U19 team.
The 19-year-old Derrick Kakooza will head over to help Uganda national team which will take part in four nations tournament in Uzbekistan. Between March 25th and March 29th Uganda will play against Tajikistan, hosting Uzbekistan and the Kyrgyz Republic.
