Valmiera FC is happy to announce that in the new Optibet Futbola Virsliga season we will begin with a new visual identity.
From the very beginning, the team has always had a colorful history. The logos have changed, the name has also changed. From 1996 to 2016 we played using our first logo with which we also played in Virsliga from 1997 to 2003. In 2016 we changed our name to become Valmiera Glass VIA. Just a year later we triumphed in the 1st league that allowed us to return to Latvian football’s highest level. In 2020 we became Valmiera FC thus earning bronze and silver medals. 2022 has arrived with new beginnings – this time proudly presenting our new logo.
Just as every other logo, this one comes with a special story and explanation:
Three V’s – as in three Valmiera boys. V is Valmiera, V are the hands of our fans in which scarfs are flowing and the smoke candles are lit. All V’s together – as a united team standing in a circle before the game, Hexagon – as an element from the football ball, The star in the middle, because together we create stars.
We once again change, because we believe in the words of Rainis – ‘’The one who changes will remain.’’
Continuing with the transformation, our website has also taken on a new visual and technical look – valmierafc.com, which will now be available in three languages with a wide range of information.
