Valmiera FC has returned home from the training camp in Turkey, announcing another addition to their squad – the 18-year-old defender Niks Sliede.
To this point, Niks Sliede was a property of RFS, but began his football career in Liepaja Football School. During the previous Optibet Virsliga season, he represented the colors of Tukums 2000/Telms. The 18-year-old center-back has 30 games under his belt at the highest level of Latvian football. The youngster has also been a frequent member of Latvian youth teams and has played for U-17, U-18, and U-19 and debuted with U-21 national team this past year.
