Pretty victory against Tukums

28 April 2024

In the final game of the first round of the Tonybet Virsliga, Valmiera FC went to Tukums, where the team managed to win three points in a high-quality duel – the result of the game was 2:1.

From the first minutes of the game, the territorial advantage belonged to the guests. Variations of attacks, from which it was difficult to squeeze the maximum, it seemed that luck had not boarded the bus to Tukums.

At the very end of the first half, however, the opponent’s goal was breached – a positional attack with a shot at the goal. The goalkeeper saved the first attempt, but at the rebound Renars Varslavans, who made it 1:0.

A couple of small crises in the second part of the duel, it allowed the home team to equalize the result of the game – an excellent long shot, which Carlos Olses could not stop. As always, Jason Bahamboula, who has been able to demonstrate impressive football on his own, came on as a substitute.

This time all trumps in his hands. A cross from the left side and Jason in front of the goal without hesitation made the goalkeeper capitulate for the second time in the game.

The last minutes of the game were a bit nervous, but with joint efforts the result was left unchanged. Three points in the table and a rise to third place.

We will play our next game on May 1, when we will play against the FS Metta team at Hansa Secondary School.
