This weekend the new Optibet Futbola Virsliga season will get underway in which for the fifth year in a row Valmiera FC will be taking part in.
This season the top flight of Latvian football will host ten teams – BFC Daugavpils, FK Auda, FK Liepāja, FK Metta, FK Spartaks, FK Tukums 2000/Telms, RFS, Riga FC, SK Super Nova Salaspils, Valmiera FC.
The season opener for Valmiera FC will be played against Riga FC – a team that we closed out our previous season with a draw which granted us silver medals. Game will be played in Keizarmeza Football Base at 14:00.
In our first game of the season we will host FK Spartaks Jurmala team. The game will be played on March 18th at 18:00. To start the month of April we will visit BFC Daugavpils and then return home four days later to meet with FK Metta.
