After a prolific season that saw him score 16 goals in 15 matches and help Valmiera FC take third place in the 2020 Virsliga, the 20-year-old striker has joined 1. FC Köln in Germany on loan. His performances have caused quite a number of clubs to become interested and take a closer look at Arokodare’s ball control, pace, and aerial prowess. From a variety of options, the player found an agreement with the Bundesliga club from the Rhein area to act as cover for Sebastian Andersson and Anthony Modeste in front of goal.
He will be looking forward to taking the next step in his development and trying to break into the first team. The highly competitive environment on a bigger stage should give him a boost and a range of experiences he will certainly benefit from and that will help his future career.
