Valmiera FC players called up to the national teams

In total 12 Valmiera FC players are set to join their national teams during the international break.

Rihards Matrevics, Emīls Birka, Daniels Balodis, Alvis Jaunzems, and Raimonds Krollis are called upon to the Latvian national team prior to the UEFA Nations League 2022/2033 season. Latvian national team is set to play two matches at home – against Andora on June 3rd and against Liechtenstein on June 6th and two games on the road – on June 10th they will visit Moldova and Liechtensteins on June 14th.

Derrick Kakooza will represent the colors of Uganda as he has been called upon for the Africa Nations cup games against Algeria and Nigeria on June 4th and 8th respectively.

Maksims Tonisevs, Roberts Veips, Kristers Lusins, Rudolfs Zengis, and Vladimirs Stepanovs are set to play for the Latvian U-21 national team at the European championship qualifier games. The first match will be played at Skonto stadium against Israel on June 2nd with a follow-up on June 7th against Hungary.

Ivan Zhelizko will continue to represent the Ukrainian national team at the Euro 2023 qualification – on June 1st against Finland, on June 5th in Istanbul against North Macedonia, then in the exact location against France on June 9th to then finish off against Armenia on June 12th.
