Valmiera FC has returned from training camp in Turkey and announced the third addition to the squad for the upcoming 2024 Optibet Virsliga season.
18-year-old left-wing Yusuke Omori from Hiroshima, Japan has become the new member of the team. The young Japanese player will have his first experience at a professional level with Valmiera FC. Before moving to Europe, he played football in his home country while representing the Tokai University Fukuoka High School team.
Yusuke Omori: ”I’m excited to join Valmiera FC as well as looking forward to playing football here in Latvia. I can already tell that the level of football is high and so far I have enjoyed my time on the pitch with my new teammates. The training camp in Turkey was intense and at a high level every day. In the short time that I have been here it feels like I have already grown significantly as a player and person. I can’t wait for the season to start.”
